DESCRIPTION
We will pick you up directly from your accommodation to take you on a discovery of the wines of the Etna DOC.
The first stop of our tour is Tenuta Mannino di Plachi in Viagrande, a historic family-owned estate that for six generations has represented the proud expression of the Etna territory and its peculiarities.
The experience includes a pleasant walk through the vineyards located on the typical Etna terraces, during which we will learn about the family’s history and the charming and traditional territory, the native grape varieties, and the cultivation techniques. The tasting includes four wines paired with typical local gastronomic specialties, sourced from a cuisine with peasant roots but reworked in a contemporary way.
In the second stop of our tour, we will stop in the village of Trecastagni to visit the Biondi Agricultural Company, a family-owned business since 1800. We will listen to their story while enjoying the beautiful location. We will taste two wines accompanied by freshly baked bread made with ancient grains.
