DESCRIPTION

We will pick you up directly from your accommodation to take you on a discovery of the wines of DOC Etna.

In the first stop on our tour, we will stop in Passopisciaro, a small hamlet of Castiglione di Sicilia, at Irene Badalà‘s Winery, a family-run company whose philosophy is that “wine is produced in the vineyard”, thanks to the care that blends ancient and new knowledge.

After a walk through the vineyard’s rows, cultivated with Etna’s native varieties, during which we will discover the ancient rural culture of Etna viticulture, we will taste 3 wines accompanied by local traditional products.

The second stop of our tour, is Filippo Grasso’s Agricultural Company in Randazzo, a small Etna reality, where viticulturists have been cultivating only native varieties for four generations.

The experience includes a pleasant walk through the vineyards to understand what makes the Etna terroir unique, followed by tasting of EVO oil and Etna wines accompanied by traditional Sicilian gastronomic products.

In the last stage of our tour, we will return to Castiglione di Sicilia to be hosted by Cantine Tornatore. The winery boasts the largest vineyard of Etna DOC, in terms of extension, in the production area. We will be guided through a winery tour and tasting of 4 wines paired with bread and olive oil.
