Strengthened by Elisabetta’s experience in Franciacorta and thanks to the meeting with the Urzì family, true sons of the Gulf of Etna, “Sciare dell’Alba” was born in Mascali, on the eastern side of Etna. Pinot Noir grape crosses the Mediterranean and meets Nerello Mascalese grape, and gives life to our production of Etna wines.
As for agronomic and enological choices in Franciacorta, here too the ideas are very clear: very low yields, manual harvesting, and activities in organic conversion. Only native grapes: Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante and Catarratto.
This is how our Etna Rosso DOC, Etna Rosato DOC and Etna Bianco DOC are born.
